MHS student arrested on rape, burglary charges

Caleb Soptelean

A 16-year-old male student was arrested and charged with one count of rape and burglary on Thursday morning.

Mustang Police Capt. Willard James said a 17-year-old female student reported that she was raped Wednesday evening by the 16-year-old after she returned home from school.

The alleged victim said the male was waiting for her when she got home, but she told him that she didn’t have time for him and had to go to work.

She then entered the residence but did not lock the door, James said. Sometime thereafter, the male entered the residence and the female tried to push him out. The male pushed back against the female, and she struck her head against a wall.

Things started going dim then, but the girl remembers being raped, James said.

The male student was arrested on the Mustang High School campus at 10:52 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, James said.

He was transported to the Canadian County Juvenile Detention Center.

how can you put this article in the paper and not post his name. but you plaster my sons name all over the paper for the same crime! this makes no sense what so ever. i believe my son is owed an apology from the newspapers for put his name all over the paper. it was all uncalled for. he was not convicted of anything!

Myself and other have been watching this blog from out of state and I have not seen that original post retracked about her son has not been posted.

Even though printing a minors name is legal when the minor is accused or convicted of a feloney it is not ethical and post to say that he was not covicted should be posted.
